We open the autumn ball season with a concert where the incidental music accompanying the dances plays the lead, be it the dance of the simple folk or the aristocracy, Baroque or ballet; dance music can always be a thrill. We await the Christmas season with familiar or unfamiliar but surely easy-to-remember melodies and some pleasant singing together, even if we do not dance between the rows of chairs. Through the dances of past eras, we can learn about our ancestors' sometimes funny, sometimes astounding customs. Up for a dance time trip!
