The Pannon Philharmonic - who create novelty even when they compose the programme of the traditional new year’s eve concerts - have been expecting the residents and visitors of Pécs to the year’s most prestigious event for over a decade. At this sublime gala concert in the beautifully decked Kodály Center, an exquisite environment, the orchestra welcomes the new year with the traditional Strauss-compositions as well as with surprise pieces. In the intermission, we invite the audience to toast with champagne, while the sponsoring Lodge members are welcome to join the orchestra at an exclusive reception which follows. During the gala concert, votes are still accepted for the best liked male and female musicians, who will be celebrated at the subsequent reception. You and your family are most welcome to join the Lodge, whose members have reserved seats for the New Year’s Eve Gala Concert several years ahead and receive special attention during the entire season.
