Successful Premiere in London
This season, we started off with a breakthrough energy, which took the orchestra to London in September already! We have picked some of the critiques of the best-known British papers for you.
On 19 September 2017, in London, our orchestra has performed the winner production of the 2016 Armel Opera Festival. The conductor of the evening was the performed opera’s composer, Péter Eötvös. The opera Senza Sangue (Without Blood), directed by Róbert Alföldi, is the adjunct play to Béla Bartók’s one-act opera Bluebeard’s Castle. The two works were jointly presented at the Armel Opera Festival in Avignon, France, Pécs and Budapest, Hungary in last year, and in the fall of 2017 in the British capital. The London premiere was a great success, which was not only measurable in the audience's ovation but also in the critical reviews, have been published since then.
The most well-known papers of the British press have reported about the performance; they can be read in English by clicking on the links.
