A universe of beauty and dignity
The Breitner Pass awaits season ticket holders on Thursday nights at 19:00 at the Kodaly Centre. Tibor Bogányi will again guide us to Bruckner’s dignified paradise and with the help of Barnabás Kelemen also to the world of Sibelius. The series isn’t lacking in beauty either — we’ll hear Weber’s beautiful piano concerto performed by Dénes Várjon, while Gilbert Varga creates an enchanting world together with Peter Frankl during their joint concert. The series will introduce Spring Morning by Lili Boulanger who passed away at just 24 years of age, and will include season pass holders in numerous unique experiences in the world of music.
The concert series will be concluded by the world premiere of Levente Gyöngyössy ‘s work, commissioned by the orchestra in memory of the 100th anniversary of the Trianon peace treaty. The series also boasts unique instrument solos: Arno Bornkamp on the saxophone, Horia Dumitrache on the clarinet, Borbála Dobozy on the cembalo, the PFZ’s musicians led by Szabolcs Zempléni in a horn quartet will all take the stage.
